✧The Story and its Inspiration✧

Follow Thomas Nearford, a senior detective investigating possible art thievery at Banestone Manor. At the request of the owner, he must find the culprit behind mysterious disappearances. Not all is as expected however, for he soon finds himself amidst something much darker.

Some of my inspiration came from some of my all times favorite games from the PS1 era, such as: Resident Evil, Clock Tower, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Alone in the Dark and Galerians. But also from the likes of Maniac Mansion and Sweet Home.

Although Shadow Halls is not quite like any of those games, it still shares some similarities: an eerie atmosphere, an interesting story and set of characters, as well as good old puzzle solving, notes and clues to find, and creepy enemies to encounter.

But it's also built on specific standards, that fit both my husband's and my own. We know what we enjoy in games, and also what may annoy us. This story is developed with care, in a more personal approach than simply a game being made.

✧What will the game include?✧

This game has been in steady development for the last year, but began much earlier than that. I've been able to create over 3 hours of gameplay so far, including several cutscenes and a few enemy encounters.

(And please note that the screenshots may differ from the final version. Some polishing for a solid consistency is required, thus some graphical changes must be made every now and then.)

I've been working on this project as much as I possibly can between work, with Patreon offering some solid support. Since this project is a one person team, I must create every single aspect of the game... and I mean EVERY single one of them.

So naturally, the more backup I can get for Shadow Halls, the more time and resources I can invest in its development. As of now, I'm hoping Shadow Halls will be completed by mid 2025, but many factors come into play, that will undoubtedly affect its development.

✧Completion of the Game✧

I am more than simply considering the option to buy a physical copy of the game. But of course, the quantity and price will depend on the whole production and shipping cost.
